Projects
The Central Region Sustainable Development Partnership focuses its project work on four major areas: agriculture and local foods, natural resources, tourism, and community based energy systems. The first three focus areas were stipulated in the legislation that created the Regional Partnerships in 1998. The newest focus area—community based energy systems—has developed as an important area over the last few years, and supports the Partnerships' Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs) activities. In all cases, the Partnership looks to projects that support sustainable systems in these focus areas.
