Mary Page is Honored for Outstanding Community Service

Mary Page, Chair of the SCC from 2000 to 2006, is honored with the Outstanding Community Service Award  on April 22, 2008.

Joining her are grand-daughter Sara, husband Jim, and colleages, John Wallace, Kathy Draeger, Dorothy Rosemeier, Okey Ukaga, Linda Kingery and Erin Meier.

Home Grown Economy Conferences

In an effort to address and explore how local foods can be an economic development engine for rural communities,Congressman Collin Peterson, Chair of the House Agriculture Committee hosted the first Home Grown Economy conference at University of Minnesota Morris on April 2, 2007.   Proceedings are posted at http://www.morris.umn.edu/HomeGrownEconomy/.

Sustainability Initiative Develops Scenarios for 2050

Scenarios are simply stories that describe plausible alternative futures.
