In 2003, the NWP sponrsored an intern from the University of Minnesota, Crookston to write a marketing plan designed to increase tourism in the western corridor of Minnesota. Two of the historic trails in this area are the 'King of Trails' and the 'Prairie Passage'. A survey titled "Toot Your Own Horn" was sent out to community leaders to gather information that will be used for the marketing plan. This survey is a way for communities to have a voice. The final marketing plan will be made available to communities and organizations.
