Expense reimbursement information
Board meeting sign-in will serve to approve honorarium and mileage expenses. Expense forms will be created and submitted by ERC office. Expense sheet available to download below.

From January 1, 2011- June 30, 2011 the mileage reimbursement rate was 51 cents/mile.
As of July 1, 2011 the mileage reimbursement rate is 55.5 cents/mile.

Per diem or honorariums for agreed upon meetings and special assignments are: $30 for 1-3 hours, $50 for 3-6 hours, and $100 for over 6 hours, including Statewide Coordinating Committee meetings. Note that the ERC Secretary receives double the per diem for note-taking meetings.
(From the bylaws: Board members participating in meetings as part of their regular employment may elect to decline the per diem. U of M employees are not eligible. The intent of the per diem is to encourage the availability of farmers and others not compensated for their time and efforts through employment.)

Board members are encouraged to represent ERC at local, regional and statewide events.
An additional $200 per board member per fiscal year is available to expense as mileage and/or honorariums for representing ERC. These events are at individual board member discretion and do not need to be pre-approved.
